Managing Excessive Towing and Recovery Charges: What Carriers Need to Know
Wednesday, October 15, 2025 (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
Towing and recovery incidents can quickly escalate into unexpected expenses when charges exceed reasonable rates. Join us at our OTA headquarters in Westerville on October 15 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for a new training that will equip your company with the knowledge to recognize inflated invoices, understand your options for response, and prevent overpayment.
Led by Ron Myers of Pine Tree Towing and Recovery, this session will walk you through how to detect excessive billing, train your staff to identify red flags, and decide when to challenge a charge versus when it may be best to settle. You’ll also review real-world court cases that highlight when carriers have prevailed in disputes—and when they have not.
By the end of this course, you’ll have practical tools and strategies to strengthen your internal review process, protect your fleet, and make informed decisions when faced with questionable towing and recovery bills.
The price to attend this training is $99 for OTA members and $149 for non-members – the event will also include lunch.
