OTA Virtual Town Hall: Trucking Through COVID--The Driver's Perspective

Tuesday, April 13, 2021 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (EDT)

Description

The role of the Professional Truck Driver has been in the spotlight more intensely over the past year than in any in recent history. From essential supplies, through personal protective equipment, to the distribution of the Covid-19 vaccines, the critical support of commercial drivers has been on constant display.

Join Irwin Shires, OTA Vice President of Education and Engagement, for a very special Virtual Town Hall Discussion with two of the nation’s top drivers: Rhonda Hartman, an America’s Road Team Captain and 37-year veteran driver, currently with Old Dominion Freight Lines; and Jeffrey Rose, 36-year over-the-road veteran, 28 of those years with Yellow, and the 2019 OTA Driver of the Year.

Rhonda and Jeffrey will bring the driver’s perspective to how this past year has unfolded, including adjustments to normal routines, the economic downturn and recovery efforts, and the effect of social distancing requirements at shipping docks and truck stops. There will be time for your questions to be answered as well.
