DESCRIPTION:The 2027 Ohio Truck Driving Championships (TDC) and Technician Competition (TechComp) return to Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky on May 14-15.Truck Driving Championships (TDC)\nProfessional drivers will put their skills to the test with a written safety exam\, detailed pre-trip inspection\, and a challenging driving course. Competitors can enter in the following classes:3-Axle\, 4-Axle\, 5-Axle\, Flatbed\, Sleeper\, Step Van\, Straight Truck\, Tank Truck\, and Twin Trailers.Technician Competition (TechComp)\nTechnicians will showcase their expertise through a written test\, two hours of educational programming\, and hands-on challenges at ten diagnostic stations. Areas tested include brakes\, engine diagnostics\, fasteners\, fifth wheel\, HVAC\, lighting\, live engine\, preventive maintenance inspection (PMI)\, starting and charging\, and tire and wheel.Celebrate the Best of the Best\nWinners will be honored at the Awards Banquet on Saturday\, May 15\, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kilimanjaro Ballroom. Each participant receives one banquet ticket with registration. Additional tickets for spouses\, family\, and company representatives are available for purchase. Banquet tickets include dinner\; a cash bar will be available. Professional attire requested.
