OTA Institute: DOT Reasonable Suspicion Virtual Training

The OTA is hosting a DOT Reasonable Suspicion Training on Tuesday, September 3 from 10am - 12pm. This virtual training is designed for supervisors and employees to gain confidence regarding their reasonable suspicion testing responsibilities and help keep impaired drivers off the road.

Led by Ruth Bowdish, Managing Director of On Demand Healthcare, this two-hour training course is divided into sixty minutes of in-depth training on alcohol misuse and another sixty minutes focusing on controlled substance abuse.

Key Highlights:

  • Learn to recognize indicators of probable alcohol misuse and controlled substance abuse.
  • Fulfill the 49 CFR Part 40 Section 382.603 training requirements for supervisors.
  • Understand the criteria outlined in 49 CFR Part 40 Section 382.307 to determine reasonable suspicion for testing drivers.

At the conclusion of the training, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, acknowledging their commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Important Notes:

  • Attendance during the live session is mandatory for all participants.
  • Recording or distribution of remote training sessions is strictly prohibited.

  • You will receive a 100% refund if you cancel more than 10 days before the training.
  • You will receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 3 days before the training.
  • You will receive no refund if you cancel less than 3 days before the training.
  • No shows will be responsible to pay 100% of the registration fee.
