Truck Driving Championships and Technician Competition

Description

The 2026 Ohio Truck Driving Championships (TDC) and Technician Competition (TechComp) return to Kalahari Resorts in Sandusky on May 15-16.

Truck Driving Championships (TDC)
Professional drivers will put their skills to the test with a written safety exam, detailed pre-trip inspection, and a challenging driving course. Competitors can enter in the following classes:

3-Axle, 4-Axle, 5-Axle, Flatbed, Sleeper, Step Van, Straight Truck, Tank Truck, and Twin Trailers.

Technician Competition (TechComp)
Technicians will showcase their expertise through a written test, two hours of educational programming, and hands-on challenges at ten diagnostic stations. Areas tested include belts, brakes, electrical, engine diagnostics, fasteners, fifth wheel, HVAC, live engine, preventive maintenance inspection (PMI), and tire and wheel.

Celebrate the Best of the Best
Winners will be honored at the Awards Banquet on Saturday, May 16, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kilimanjaro Ballroom. Each participant receives one banquet ticket with registration. Additional tickets for spouses, family, and company representatives are available for purchase. Banquet tickets include dinner; a cash bar will be available. Professional attire requested. A photographer will capture event highlights and award moments.

This is a family-friendly event, and the TDC driving course is open to the public.
